This practical curriculum teaches business screening, consent, privacy, referral operations, team-building, and payout fundamentals. It does not replace DataSupply-approved materials or your actual partner agreement.

Lessons 01–02 / Opportunity and fit

Lessons 01–02 / Opportunity and fit

Lessons 01–02 / Opportunity and fit

Know what is being considered before you contact an owner.

01 / The opportunity

A data license may grant an AI developer specified rights to use selected company records for training or evaluation. Not every record is licensable and not every buyer will be interested. DataVestra’s role is education and introductions. Practice explaining this without promising an offer, price or timeline.

02 / The business-owner avatar

Screen for established teams using common software systems and several years of documented workflows. Look for accessible internal records and authorized owners, while recognizing privacy and contract restrictions. Exercise: shortlist five relevant businesses without obtaining their files.

Lessons 03–04 / Outreach and handoff

Protect relationships and personal information.

03 / Honest, lawful outreach

Describe the opportunity clearly, disclose that you may earn referral compensation, obtain consent and honor opt-outs. Do not promise commissions, name confidential AI buyers or use unapproved recruitment ads. Exercise: rehearse an owner introduction that asks whether the person wants a conversation.

04 / Correct referral procedure

Use the partner-specific company link after the authorized owner agrees. Share only consented business contact details; never handle source files, exports, passwords or sensitive information. Escalate data rights, privacy, tax and contract questions to appropriate advisers.

Lessons 05–06 / Network and economics

Lessons 05–06 / Network and economics

Commissions come from commercial activity, not merely joining.

05 / Build a capable team

Invite professionals who have genuine owner relationships and understand the qualification profile. The standard DataSupply agreement describes two eligible network levels. Train recruits in consent, accuracy and data boundaries. No compensation is paid simply for enrolling partners.

06 / Understand what paid means

Projected portal amounts, referrals, offers and signed arrangements are different from actual funds received. Your signed agreement determines any commission, attribution, collection conditions, tax requirements and reversals. Exercise: explain why a submitted referral might never produce a payout.
